[BHS Etree] BUSD - Two BHS Seniors Awarded Basketball Scholarships

Wednesday November 9, 2011 was Signing Day for two BHS seniors, basketball
players Langston Morris-Walker and Elisha Davis who received full
scholarships. Langston will be attending and playing for Oregon State, and
Elisha will be doing the same at Arizona State University. Both students
credited their parents for all of their support throughout their lives, and
thanked their coaches as well. They committed to making their family,
friends and other supporters proud of them as they work hard in both
athletics and academics at their Universities. Elisha identified her most
immediate goal as a desire to use her senior year to teach, mentor and be a
better role model for the younger players on the team, appreciating all of
the hard work by her coaches and Berkeley High administrators on her behalf
during some of her most difficult moments. Both students predicted that
their teams will deliver championship titles this year.
