Dear Parents and Guardians,

Does your student have some leadership qualities or potential? Or perhaps it would help your freshman to have a strong start at BHS being part of an inspiring team wherein students are encouraged, supported, and trained using a cycle of practice and reflection towards taking values-based action in their lives and developing their character.

Applications to be the class president, vice president, treasurer, secretary or one of fifteen deputies are available in the Leadership Office. The applications are due this Thursday, September 29, an extension from Tuesday. Job descriptions are listed below.

Students submit applications and are selected through an interview process managed by the ASB President, Vice President, the ASB Commissioner of Elections and overseen by myself. Selection is not guaranteed but we do make sure to present and offer support towards other opportunities to applicants who don't make the team.

Being a part of the whole-school student leadership team is great for the resume, can earn a student credit, facilitates students making connections with high-level school officials (which ends up being great for recommendation letters), leads to positive peer influence and a host of other benefits.

Please be in touch with any questions.

Thank you,

Chris Young
Director of Student Activities
