The School Board is holding a Study Session devoted to Berkeley High at 7:00 pm, June 1. In response to the Board's request for a study session on the academic performance at Berkeley High School, staff has prepared a presentation that includes assessment data, an update on the WASC process, a report on the Small Learning Communities Grant, examples of effective interventions, and the Principal’s proposed initiatives for 2011-12.
You can watch the meeting on Channel 33, live on Wednesday night or repeated at 9 a.m. Thursday morning. It is also broadcast on radio station KPFB 89.3. The meeting begins at 6:00 at 2134 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, 2nd floor.
The packet, available online at the BUSD website at http://www.berkeley.net/board-meeting-information/, contains an analysis of the Summer Bridge program, the annual academic assessment presentation by the District's Evaluation and Assessment office, and an annotated list of student support services available.
