Dear Senior Parents and Guardians,

Please read below for some important information about parking and getting
to the Greek Theater for the graduation ceremony on June 17, which will
begin at 5:30 pm and end at approximately 8:00 pm.

1. First and foremost it is strongly recommended that you do not attempt to
drive and park near the Greek Theater up Hearst Street or onto Gayley Street
as traffic congestion will be heavy, thus arrival times hard to predict.
Generally it is advised to plan for a 5:00 pm arrival.

2. The recommendation is to take BART, bus, be dropped off, carpool or park
near the Berkeley High campus and take the free shuttle bus provided by BHS.
The shuttle buses will pick up passengers where Kittredge Street meets
Milvia Street beginning at 3:30 and every 15-30 minutes (the exact time of
each shuttle departure is to be determined). Note that the ceremony begins
at 5:30 pm and it will take approximately 20-25 minutes from the pick-up
time to be in your seat at the Greek Theater.

3. If you do plan to drive to the event the closest parking lot to the Greek
Theater is a pay lot at the northwest corner of Hearst Street and Gayley
Road. Arrival at this lot may take more time than expected because of
traffic. Other lots are spotted throughout the area. For more information
visit: http://pt.berkeley.edu/park/public/campus or
http://www.ci.berkeley.ca.us/ContentDisplay.aspx?id=8260.

4. DISABLED PERSONS PARKING AND DROP-OFF: Disabled people, including those
in wheelchairs, and their attendants are welcome to park for free in the BHS
lot on Kittredge where it meets Milvia. Accommodating shuttles will leave
from there at the times listed above and drop off right outside the Greek
Theater entrance. NOTE: This is a change from previous information that
suggested drop-off can occur from private vehicle in the parking lot off of
Stadium Rim Way, which will not be possible.
