To all supporters of Berkeley High School Athletics:

 

Please come or invite your friends and co-workers to the annual Golf
Classic at Berkeley's Tilden Golf Course on Friday, May 6th.  This is an
important fundraising event to support freshman athletic teams and to help
purchase equipment and uniforms for all levels of teams.  

 

Please use the attached application form, or contact Manish Doshi at

the event:

 

4 Person Scramble Golf Tournament

Individual entries are welcome and will be placed on an open team

 

Tilden Park in Berkeley

 

Team prizes 1st to 4th

(Event Sold out the last 3 Years) limited to 144 players

 

Putting Contest, Long Drive, Closest to the Pin, Raffle 

$125.00 per player includes Golf and a "Picnic" Dinner prepared by:
Bakesale Betty, Oakland CA

Donations welcome and appreciated or you can sponsor a hole: Hole
Sponsorship $250.00

Berkeley High School ("BHS"), the City of Berkeley's only public high
school, enrolls approximately 3,400 students, reflecting the rich cultural
diversity of our community.

 

BHS offers it students the most extensive high school sports program in
California, with more than 1,000 young men and women participating on 60
teams in 28 different sports. The teams provide healthy athletic
competition, foster friendships, teach the value of a commitment to goals,
and provide a sense of community so vital for students' success in a large
urban high school.

 

This worthwhile athletic program needs your support, especially in light
of recent California school district budget cuts. 

 

The Berkeley Athletic Fund ("BAF") was established in 1985 as a non-profit
organization to enable parents and community members to help provide this
support.
