BHS Jazz Musicians Shine at Folsom Festival:  At the Folsom Jazz Festival on
Saturday, January 29, the BHS Jazz Ensemble won the fourth place trophy in
the top division comprised of 9 bands.  Combo A (L.Facher, N. Lamb,  G.
Milliken, E. Pinderhughes & E.Shiboski) took first in the senior combo
division (13 entrants); while Combo1 ( H. Meyerson, G. Milliken, H. Reinisch
& E. Shiboski) finished 5th, and Combo 2 ( L. Collins, M. Bourque-Perez, S.
Klein-Markman, M. Orenstein, H. Shiboski and B. Timar) took 6th place.  The
BHS Lab II Band finished in 9th place. Congratulations to all!! Pictures and

The following BHS jazz students won outstanding musicianship awards:  Noah
Baker (Lab II, guitar), Marcello  Bourque-Perez (Combo 2,drums), Lev Facher
(Combo A, drums), Sam Klein-Markman ( Ensemble, guitar), Nick Lamb (Ensemble
& Combo A, piano), Harry Meyerson (Combo 1, drums) Grant Milliken (Ensemble
& Combo A, vibes; Combo 1, piano), Michael Orenstein (Combo 2, piano)  Elena
Pinderhughes (Ensemble, Combo A, flute), Harrison Reinisch (Ensemble, Combo
1, sax), Erik Shiboski (Combos A & 1, bass) and Nora Stanley (Lab II, sax).
