[BHS Etree] SPORTS: BHS Academic Excellence awards

Congratulations to the BHS fall sports teams for achieving the highest
goal of educational athletics, combining outstanding academic performance
with interscholastic athletic achievement.

The BHS teams all went on to post season with an outstanding athletic
performance.

In addition, the North Coast Section (NCS) gives the Scholastic
Championship Team status to the top three NCS varsity teams in each sport
with team grade points over 3.0.  This fall, four BHS varsity teams were
awarded this honor:

Boys Cross Country Team, GPA- 3.60

Girls Cross Country Team, GPA-3.63

Girls Water Polo Team, GPA- 3.60 

Girls Volleyball Team, GPA-3.75

The following teams also had team GPAs greater than 3.0, and were awarded
the Distinguished Scholastic Team award:

Girls Golf Team, GPA- 3.1

Girls Tennis Team, GPA - 3.41

Boys Water Polo Team, GPA - 3.22

Field Hockey does not participate in the North Coast Section, but their
team GPA was 3.51.

Varsity Football has the largest number of player and came in with a team
GPA of 2.9.
