*New or updated information

 

ADMINISTRATION

 

1. BSEP applications are now available for the fall 2011-2012 school year.
Pick one up in the administration office from Belinda McDaniel, or send an
email request to bmcdaniel at berkeley.k12.ca.us for a digital copy.  Deadline
is February 25th. Don't delay, or you will miss out on this grant
opportunity.

 

2. Is there a teacher or staff member who has profoundly impacted you? Then
recognize them for their awesomeness!  Fill out a Superjacket Staff Member
of the Month form and let the school know how great they are!  Pick up the
form at the leadership office and turn it in by the 15th of January to
nominate your staff member.

 

3. Winter Ball! February 12, 2011 from 7-11 pm at the BHS Jacket Gym.
Tickets on sale starting Monday for only $25.  This event will be bigger and
better than ever!

 

 

CLUBS

 

1. 2010 Sr. National Coach Kenny Hashimore, as well as a 2010 Jr. Olympic
Champion and BHS team captain want you to join the BHS Judo Club.  People
interested in Martial Arts and Brazilian Ju Jitsu are welcome.  No
experience necessary.  First meeting will be Tuesday, January 11th at lunch
in room C326.  Hope to see you there.

 

*2. Knitting Club is up and running for 2011.  We have TONS of new yarn and
needles.  If you don't know how to knit we'll teach you.  Come to the
library Fridays during lunch.  You may even eat while you knit!

 

COLLEGE/CAREER

 

1. What's up with College?  January 6, 2011, at 7 pm in the Library.  Come
hear former BHS students and their parents discuss getting ready for all
kinds of colleges and what happened after BHS.

 

*2. Students will be able to pick up their PSAT results on the following
days at lunch and after school in the College Career Center D221:  Thursday,
January 6; Friday, January 7; Friday, January 14; Friday, January 21;
Friday, January 28th. Scores cannot be given to parents.  Students must show
BHS ID in order to receive scores!

 

SPORTS 

 

1. 2011 BHS Baseball Meeting - Anyone interested in trying out for one of
the Berkeley High's Spring Baseball teams should attend an informational
meeting after school at 3:45 on Thursday January 6 in H-202A (Coach Bremer's
room).  You will get important information on try-out dates, team schedules,
winter playing opportunities and more.

 

*2. Mandatory Boys Tennis Meeting!  Any student interested in playing boys
tennis this spring must attend an information meeting in Coach Parker's
classroom (C127) Thursday (1/6) at lunch.  All grades welcome.

 

EVENTS

 

Berkeley High School Presents: Dance Production 2011, a showcase of
stupendous student choreography

Fridays and Saturdays, January 7, 8, 14, 15 at 7pm in the Florence Schwimley
Little Theater
