ADMINISTRATION

 

1. Attention all students and staff: Canned and fresh food is needed for the
annual Holiday Meal.  Start gathering cans now and think about something
tasty to make.  The meal is on December 11th at BHS.  Also come to the
Leadership office to volunteer to work a shift at the meal.

 

2. BART Tickets for November are in. Please pick up your tickets in room
D224 at lunchtime.  Orders for December will take place on November 18-19 at
lunchtime in room D224.  Please bring exact amount for tickets.  Price is
$16 each .  Students may purchase up to four tickets.

CLUBS

 

1. This Friday at lunch in the C Gallery the Gay-Straight Alliance will be
having a bake sale.  Come buy delicious baked goods at low prices.  There
will also be Gay-Straight Alliance shirts for sale for only $12.

 

*2. Any Chicano-Latino member interested in continuing to be a part of the
2011 Chicano-Latino graduation committee must attend one of the meetings
this week: Wednesday or Thursday at lunch in room A105. 

 

SENIORS

 

1. Hey seniors - Buy an 11x17 inch print of the senior spellout!! This great
momento is only $5. Available in the leadership office!

 

2. College Visits - Seniors only. Sign up in advance in the College/Career
Center and pick up a permission slip. The complete list, updated daily, is
available on the BHS website at

can also find updated college lists on their Moodle site.

3. Seniors who wish to have their baby picture in the yearbook should send 1
picture with their full name to  <mailto:bhighyearbook at gmail.com>
bhighyearbook at gmail.com or bring the picture to H102B after school before
December 1st.  In addition, photos of student life may be submitted for
consideration for the yearbook.

 

4.Senior Parent Financial Aid Information Night - November 18, 6:30 pm,
Berkeley High Library

A representative from the East Bay Consortium, an educational non-profit
organization, will walk us line by line through the Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  This night is to allow senior parents to get
their questions answered by a financial aid expert.  This meeting is for
Berkeley High Senior parents only.

 

EVENTS

 

1. The BHS Jazz Ensemble will hold its first concert of the school year on
Friday, November 19, 2010 at  the BHS Little Theatre beginning at 7:00 pm.
Tickets are $10 (general admission); BHS students and staff are free; other
student tickets are $3.  Lots of snacks and soft drinks available for
purchase.  Come out, enjoy the evening, hear great music and support these
talented musicians and BHS Jazz!!
