Next week on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 5 and 6, Berkeley High will be
offering the California High School Exit Exam  (CAHSEE) of the year. This
exam is for juniors and seniors who have never taken the test or must retake
one or more sections. We are looking for two or three parent volunteers who
can help check the students in from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. each morning.  An
orderly and efficient check in process helps set the tone for this important
test which all California students must pass in order to receive a high
school diploma.  

The exam is offered four times each year: twice in the fall for juniors and
seniors who need to take the test; once in February for all sophomores; and
then one more time in the spring.  If you can help check in next week,
