Here is info on an upcoming lifeguarding certification course being held at
the Downtown Berkeley YMCA.

Monday, Sept 13th - Sunday, Sept 19th, 2010

Below is the schedule for the course:
 
Mon, Sept 13 		6:00pm - 10:00pm
Tues, Sept 14 		6:00pm - 10:00pm
Wed, Sept 15		6:00pm - 10:00pm
Thurs, Sept 16 		6:00pm - 10:00pm
Friday, Sept 17		6:00pm - 10:00pm
Sat, Sept 18 		1:00pm - 7:00pm
Sun, Sept 19 		9:00am - 3:00pm

Registration Deadline: Sept 1st, 2010

Cost: $200.00 	(includes book and cost of certifications)

Participants will receive Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED for Lifeguards and
First Aid.

Participants must be at least 15 years of age prior to the start of the
class. 

Participants must pass the prerequisites (completed during the first class)
which Includes; 300 yard swim (front crawl & breaststroke), 20 yard swim &
brick retrieval from a depth of 7 1/2 feet & treading water for 2 minutes.

Participants must attend all sessions to complete certification,
successfully complete the physical skills testing and receive a score of 80%
or better on the written test. 

Refunds will not be given for participants who fail to pass the
prerequisites, skills test, and written test or fail to attend all classes. 

We require 72 hours notice of cancellation to receive a full refund.

Minimum Enrollment: 5 students (course may be cancelled if minimum
enrollment is not reached)
