This is a reminder of the information that was mailed home to families of
seniors in April, and updated with a recent e-tree message regarding
graduation tickets.

GRADUATION REHEARSALS

Rehearsals will take place at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 17th in the
Community Theatre and at 9:30 am on Friday, June 18th at the Greek Theatre.
All seniors who plan to participate in the graduation MUST be present at
BOTH rehearsals.

GRADUATION TICKETS

1. Tickets for graduation will be available beginning the afternoon of June
2 in the Registration Office, D173.  This office is located right inside the
main entrance of the school immediately to the right, across from the main
office.  After June 2 purchasing hours are from 9:00am to 3:30pm every
weekday.  Inquiries about tickets can be directed towards Bobbye Reed, BHS
Student Body Accounts Manager at 510.644.6847.  

2. Each graduate is allotted two tickets at no fee that must be picked up in
D173.  Seniors are able to purchase additional tickets at $15.00 each. 
Parents/Guardians of seniors enrolled in the free lunch program can purchase
additional tickets for $5.00.

3. All seats for graduation are general admission.  Disabled seating is
limited and students with family members or friends who require disabled
seating should make arrangements in advance with the Director of Student
Activities at 510.644.8990.  Only one person may accompany each disabled
guest in the disabled seating area.

GRADUATION DAY

1. On Friday, June 18th, seniors will report promptly to the Greek Theatre
at 4:00 pm to line up for graduation.  There will be considerable traffic
congestion just before graduation, so it is recommended that students allow
themselves an extra margin of time.

2. Caps and gowns must be worn at graduation.

3. Shuttle buses to the Greek Theatre will be available from Berkeley High
School’s Milvia Street entrance beginning at 3:00 pm on Friday, June 18th.
Buses will return to Berkeley High School following the graduation ceremony.

4. Parking: There are no designated parking areas for students or families
at the Greek Theater.    Disabled parking passes can only be obtained with
proof of appropriate decals.

5. Gifts and flowers should not be given to students prior to the ceremony
due to lack of security.

6. Any student who engages in disruptive behavior during the ceremony,
inflatable balls, cell phone usage, etc
, will be escorted from the graduate
section.

guarantee that the student has indeed met all requirements necessary for
graduation or that the student will be eligible to participate in the
school-wide commencement exercises.)
