SENIORS

1. SENIORITIS - It's the last quarter of the senior year. Don't let your grades drop. Don't think this semester doesn't count! All four year colleges will require a copy of your official transcript after you graduate. If your grades drop, they may rescind your admission.

*2. College is a Family Affair - Berkeley City College and Berkeley Unified School District invite parents and graduating high school seniors to an informational night at Berkeley City College. Find out information on educational programs, resources and support systems BCC has to offer graduating high school seniors and their parents. The event will be held Thursday, June 3, 6:00pm to 8:30pm at Berkeley City College, 2050 Center Street, Berkeley. Free parking is accessible at the garage located at 2061 Allston Way. Families must bring their parking stubs to the event in order to be validated.

*3. FOOD AND DRINK DONATIONS NEEDED FOR SENIOR AWARDS CEREMONY - The Senior Awards Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 2, at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Theater. This is a wonderful tradition where we honor seniors for all of their accomplishments and successes. The ceremony is followed by a reception. If you can donate baked goods (finger foods only, please) or drinks (water, juice or soda), paper plates, napkins, or cups please bring them to the College and Career Center between 8:30 am and 10 am on June 2.

*4. SENIOR EXIT REPORTS – If you haven't turned in the Exit Report in D221, do so NOW. The information contained in these reports is very important so that we can have accurate data of the future plans of all seniors and assess how Berkeley High is doing in college admissions. No information on an individual student will be shared without the student's permission. These forms were distributed in all senior English classes. Additional forms are available in D221. Seniors will not be able to pick up graduation tickets if they have not turned in the Senior Exit Report.

*5. Final Transcript Request are Due Now: Seniors please turn in a Transcript Request Form to Ms. Mellion on Tuesday June 2, in D173 so that she can send an official transcript to the school you will be attending in the fall. Write “FINAL TRANSCRIPT” in capital letters across the top of the form and paperclip it to a stamped (postage has gone up to 44 cents!) business size envelope addressed to the college, with Berkeley High School (1980 Allston Way, Berkeley 94704) as the return address. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the request form. All colleges require that students send them a final transcript confirming their senior year grades.
