The 2010 BHS Senior Ball "Lost in Wonderland" takes place this Saturday, May 15 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco on the Embarcadero. The address for the hotel is 5 Embarcadero Center, San Francisco.

There has been confusion about the exact running time of the event. We regret that different times have been released. THE OFFICIAL RUNNING TIME OF THE EVENT IS FROM 7:00 PM TO MIDNIGHT as is printed on the invitations that prom attendees will receive this week. Doors close at 9:00 pm.

No tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are currently $85 and will be sold until 4:30 pm on Friday at the Donahue Gym athletic office ticket windows. There is a $10 discount for students on free or reduced lunch. To receive this discount students must have a written note from their counselor.

Students who have been suspended since April 7, have three or more unexcused absences for each class from April 7, or who have outstanding library books, textbook or athletic fees or debts will be given refunds this week as they are not allowed to attend the Ball unless cleared by the administration.

Parking and transportation information will be given with the invitations delivered this week. In brief: Parking is not easy near the Hyatt and is very expensive at the hotel. It is recommended that you research parking lots online at http://www.gottapark.com or call the Hyatt for suggestions. The hotel is very close to the Embarcadero Bart Station. The last BART Train to the East Bay leaves at 12:23.

The event is formal and a dress code will be enforced. Tuxedos or suits, no jeans or sneakers. Dresses need to reach at least mid-thigh or lower on the leg towards the knee and should not be inappropriately revealing on top. The dress code is enforced by school safety officers, administrators or other staff members who will be running security checks at the door. A secure and organized coat check and registration will be operated by staff and/or parent volunteers.

Non-BHS guests of students STUDENTS MUST HAVE A PHOTO ID to present if their ticket does not include a photo ID.

A generous selection of finger foods, desserts, and drinks will be served. Prom favors will be given to the first 250 females (an imprinted glass) and first 250 males (keychains) who arrive at the Ball.
