Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, April 27, Berkeley High will be offering the California standardized test commonly known as the STAR test to all 9th, 10th and 11th grade students. The tests will last the rest of the week.

1. On Tuesday and Wednesday 9th-11th grades students should report at 8:30 to their 2nd period class. Seniors stay home in the morning. ALL students, including Seniors, will attend regular class starting at 12:56. (On Tuesday they will go first to period 3, then 2 and then 1; on Wednesday they will report to period 4, then period 5, then period 6).

2. On Thursday, 9th - 11 grade students should report at 8:30 to their 2nd period class. Seniors stay home in the morning. All students, including Seniors, will attend regular class starting at 12:01 (Period 3, then 2, then 1).

3. On Friday, Seniors AND Freshmen stay home in the morning. 10th and 11th grade students report to their 2nd period class at 8 30 a.m. ALL students come in the afternoon, starting at 12:01 reporting first to period 4, then 5, then 6.

These tests are very important. Students who miss this week will be pulled out of class next week for makeup tests. Mr. Walton, Ms. Offerman, and Ms. Olson, who are operating the test could use help in the morning each day from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. to help launch the test as "gofers." As a sweetener (literally) there will be sweet rolls and coffee.
