ADMINISTRATION
*1. If you missed online scheduling or need to make changes to your course
selections for next year please go to G204 after school this week. The
deadline for changes has been extended to Friday, April 23.
*2. Do you want a top job on the student leadership team? Do you want to
have your voice heard on the BIG decisions and oversee the planning of
exciting events? We need applicants for the ASB President, Vice-President,
Chief of Service, Chief of Social Activities and the School Board rep!!
Boost your resume big time. Applications in Leadership office.
Applications due April 21st.
3. Willard Mathworks tutoring Tuesday, April 20, 27.
4. Financial Aid Workshops will be in the College Career at 3:30 pm.,
Tuesdays.
*5. Congratulations to Chun-Mei Su who was recognized as an ROP Student of
Excellence. She will be awarded on May 6th with a certificate of achievement
and an award of $175 from the Contra Costa County ROP Program.
*6. Come audition for a Midsummer's Night Dream! The Fall Play 2010.
Auditions will be held in A205 on April 26, 27, and 30th. Sign up on the
drama board in the A building.
CLUBS
1. Come join Leadership! Applications available in D148 for all levels of
interest! Get involved in your school community and boost your college
applications! Stop by the leadership office in D148 to pick up an
application.
*2. Spring is here! Join us for cooking club Tuesday 4/20/10 @ 3:30 pm for
baked Mac n'cheese, swiss chard, garlic bread and peach cobbler! Free food,
friends and fun!
SENIORS
1. Seniors!! Senior Ball tickets are on sale now in the Athletics office.
The price goes up $5 every week until the event.
EVENTS/PERFORMANCES
1. Academy Award-nominated documentary "The Most Dangerous Man In America",
co-directed by BHS and Willard parent Rick Goldsmith, will be shown on May
6, 2010 at the Elmwood Theater in a special benefit for Willard Middle
School. The film tells the story of Pentagon strategist Daniel Ellsberg's
decision to leak top secret documents about the Vietnam War to the New York
Times in 1971 - a decision that made headlines around the world. The
program is from 7:15-9:30, and includes a Q&A with Rick Goldsmith and
Patricia Ellsberg, Daniel Ellsberg's wife. Tickets are $20 in advance (mail
checks by 4/28 to Willard Middle School, attn Kathy Burns, 2425 Stuart
Street, Berkeley 94705, and tickets will be mailed to you) or $25 at the
door. Don't miss out on this story, which changed the Vietnam War and the
face of 20th Century journalism.
*2. Do you need something for that someone special or more importantly

SPORTS
*1. The BHS Judo team will be competing at Alameda high School on April 18th
in both the individual and team categories. Led by 3rd place National
Champion Flora Zipon and 3rd place US International Champion Spencer
Augustine, both black belts, the judo team hopes to slam the competition.
Come and see us Tuesday, Thursday at 4 pm in the Wrestling room. Visitors
and newcomers are always welcome.
