The Berkeley-Albany YMCA is currently looking for local youth to work as members of the Teen Center Task Force. The Teen Task Force is an exciting opportunity for youth to shape the future of teen activities in Berkeley by advising and planning the programs for the YMCA-PG&E Teen Center, which is being built in Downtown Berkeley. As part of the Task Force, teens will have the opportunity to speak their mind in a forum that will have a lasting impact on the city. Participants will work with real estate developers, architects, and teen program providers to help design and oversee the construction of the new Teen Center. The Task Force Hiring Committee is looking for dedicated, well-rounded freshmen, sophomores and juniors. This is a paid position. If you are interested in applying for a position on the Teen Task Force, applications are available in the Berkeley High College Career Center as well as in the YMCA offices, located at 2070 Allston Way.
Applications must be submitted by April 20th. To see what the Teen Task Force is up to, check out our blog at http://www.ymcateentaskforce.blogspot.com/
