Every student deserves to come out of public school with powerful writing skills. Every student's writing benefits from one-on-one coaching from trained volunteers.

WriterCoach Connection needs more volunteer Writer Coaches for the Spring semester. We work with students during class time on Friday mornings, 1-2 hours twice per month. Writer coaches help students not only find their voice but also discover the joy and power of their written voice. The magic of coaching is sitting down with a student and simply listening to him or her. 

You can be part of this exciting program. Learn how to coach students one-on-one to strengthen their writing and thinking skills by signing up for training at www.writercoachconnection.org (go to "Volunteer"), and then signing up to coach at Berkeley High. Upcoming training dates are:
Training #10  Wed  1/13 & 1/20  6:30-9:30 pm
Training #11  Thu  1/14 & 1/21  12:00-3:00 pm
Training #12  Wed  1/27 & 2/3   6:30-9:30 pm
Training #13  Tue  2/2  & 2/9   12:00-3:00 pm
Training #14  Thu  2/18 & 2/25  12:00-3:00 pm

- plus four trainings scheduled for college students who wish to volunteer.
