SING OUT!
WED 7PM DECEMBER 16, LONGFELLOW AUDITORIUM

Come and hear the first results of the new choral program at Berkeley High.
The Chorus Club, started by high school students last year, is joining with
the new Chorus class, and the even newer Vocal Jazz group, to make wonderful
music.  

With a range of performers, including visiting soloists Karen Pertschuk (a
graduate of Berkeley High School's previous wonderful choral program from
several years ago), and Mary Ford, from the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir,
the concert will be an eclectic mix of jazz, traditional choral music,
Motown, Broadway and Gospel music from the United States, plus international
songs from Africa, Portugal, Germany, China, and more.  Come to listen to
your favorites, and be surprised by something you've never heard before!

The concert will be at the Longfellow Auditorium, entering on Derby St near
the corner of Sacramento Avenue starting at 7pm Wednesday December 16.
Tickets at the door are $10 general admission, students FREE.

Delicious cupcakes, drinks and other goodies will be available at
intermission.  

Donations to the program are also appreciated.  The Chorus program has
received a generous grant from the Berkeley High School Development Group
for music and other materials, but we need to ensure the program can
continue next year, and the only way to do that is through your support.
