1. Small Group Tours. Berkeley High School has started taking reservations for small group tours. The parent-led tours leave the Front Desk at 9:35 am and last a little over an hour. Students are welcomed but each student must be accompanied by their own parent or guardian. Please note, while the tours are informative and cover most of the campus and buildings they do not go into classrooms. To make a reservation, please contact Janet Huseby, Berkeley High's Volunteer Coordinator at jhuseby at pacbell.net.

Many people have asked if they could visit Berkeley High on their own or if their student could "shadow" a current student. This is not possible. The school is focused on the education and security of our currently enrolled students. We are simply too large a school to accommodate unsupervised visitors.

2. Fall Outreach Night is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 23 in the Community Theater. The event will start promptly at 7 p.m. Please be advised that parking is difficult downtown. The evening, while open to everyone, is aimed primarily at families who are unfamiliar with the Berkeley Unified School District. You will hear from current students, one of the College Advisors, and the principal.

3. Spring Information Night. Early in 2010 the school will hold an Information Night for all incoming 9th grade families. At Information Night 2010, representatives from the five small schools (including Green Tech, a new small school) and the two programs as well as department heads will make presentations or be available to answer questions. Information Night is an essential first step in the process of signing up for classes for the fall of 2010. As soon as the date is set for Information Night, it will be announced.
