On Wednesday, October 14th, from 8:30-11:38 a.m., Berkeley High will be
administering the PSAT at no charge to all sophomores and to juniors who
registered by last Friday.  

**IMPORTANT NOTE**
There are no morning classes for freshman, juniors who have not registered
and seniors, until after lunch.  School will resume with 4th period at 12:24
p.m.

There are a limited numer of remaining spots for Juniors who did not
register by Friday. They can continue to purchase the PSAT for $20 from
Bobbye Reed on Tuesday, October 13.  Students can also get on the waiting
list on Wednesday morning on the Community Theatre steps at 7:30 a.m.

The PSAT is an opportunity to practice taking the SAT and get feedback on
areas of strength and areas on which to improve.  The score on the PSAT does
not appear on the transcript.  The PSAT determines junior membership in the
National Merit Society and enters juniors into numerous scholarship
contests.

Students will be assigned by grade level and alphabet.  Room assignments
will be posted throughout the school on Tuesday and staff will be on hand to
direct students to the appropriate classroom.
