Introductory Rowing Workshop This Saturday! Thinking about joining a BHS sports team next year? Consider rowing for Berkeley Crew! Berkeley High is the only public high school in California to offer rowing as a varsity sport. Often, BHS rowers receive scholarships and are recruited to row in college. The Berkeley Crew coaching staff and members of the varsity squad invite you to attend an introductory rowing workshop at our Jack London Square boathouse in Oakland to learn more about rowing and BHS Crew.

Saturday May 30th, 10am-noon
Jack London Aquatic Center, Oakland Estuary

This hands-on workshop will introduce participants to the exciting sport of rowing, with a tour of the boathouse, overview of the different types of rowing shells, viewing a regatta race video and the opportunity to get behind an oar and try out rowing! No previous experience is required.

Participants must be capable swimmers and have a parent present at the start of the workshop to sign a Jack London Aquatic Center waiver. For more information about the workshop and directions to the Berkeley Crew boathouse, please visit our website or contact Coach Sabrina Linden at:
