Berkeley High Concert Orchestra Quartet Earns Superior Rating!

At Berkeley High we often hear about the BHS Jazz program, Afro
Haitian and Modern Dance and theater that compares to ACT. Meanwhile
the Concert Band & Orchestra are out there winning competitions and
recognition in their own field. This is just one example.

Congrats to Andriasov Quartet! They were awesome!

A Berkeley High Concert Orchestra Quartet played at the CMEA Solo &
Ensemble Festival in Fremont on Saturday and represented Berkeley
well! The string quartet played the first movement of Iosef
Andriasov's Quartet, and earned a Superior rating!

Congratulations to Marnina Wirtschafter, Isabel Martin, Emma Riley,
and Georgia Martin on their solid performance and perseverance.

REMINDER:

Performing Arts Showcase - March 29
The Berkeley Unified School District's Performing Arts Showcase is
on Sunday March 29th, in the Berkeley Community Theater at Berkeley
High School. The concert is from 1pm to 3:30pm.

This is a wonderful opportunity to see all of Berkeley's students
perform, from elementary through high school. Come enjoy one of the
results of BSEP Measure A of 2006.
