1. The first day of School for the 2009-2010 school year is Wednesday,
September 2, 2009

2. That means that orientation/registration will take place during the
week of August 24-28.  The schedule for orientation/registration has
not yet been set so we do not know what day each class will be asked
to report but you can plan on your child reporting to BHS one day that
week.  During orientation/registration students pick up their
schedule, books, organizer, etc. 

3. The following holidays are on the 2009-2010 schedule:

Sept. 7          Labor Day
Oct. 12          Staff Development
Nov. 6           Staff Development
Nov. 11          Veteran's Day
Nov. 25, 26, 27  Thanksgiving
Dec. 21-Jan. 1   Winter Holiday (school resumes on the 4th)
Jan. 18          MLK Day
Jan. 25          Semester break
Feb. 12          Lincoln's Birthday
Feb. 15          President's Day
Mar. 29-Apr. 2   Spring Recess
May 17           Malcolm X Birthday
May 31           Memorial Day
June 18          Last Day of School
