Berkeley High School presents
The Vagina Monologues

The Obie Award-winning episodic play by Eve Ensler is based on
interviews with over 200 women about their memories and experiences of
sexuality, giving voice to women's deepest fantasies and fears. It is
witty and irreverent, compassionate and wise.

Directed by Amalia Mesa-Gustin and performed by Berkeley High
students, the play is part of V-Day, a global movement to stop
violence against women and girls.

WHEN: February 5, 6, 12, & 13, 2009

WHERE: The Ashby Stage, 1901 Ashby Ave. @ MLK, Berkeley

Proceeds go to local Bay Area organizations and Panzi Hospital in the
Democratic Republic of the Congo which treats women victims of a war
that has left 5.4 million people dead. Congolese women and girls have
born the brunt of this vicious war with over 300,000 raped, tortured
and destroyed.
