Congratulations to the Berkeley High Jazz Ensemble for taking first place in their category at the 20th Annual Folsom Jazz Festival, and for taking first place in the sight-reading competition. Special recognition was also given to Director Charles Hamilton for his many years of teaching and his involvement with the festival since its inception.

Congratulations to the following musicians who received medals of excellence for their solos: Michael Stock-Matthews, Samora Pinderhughes, Chase Jackson, Leah Wollenberg, Elena Pinderhughes, Jonah Levine and James Small.
