Use scrip for the holidays!

The holiday season is quickly approaching and it is an excellent time 
to buy scrip!  The scrip itself can be a great gift or you can use 
the scrip when you shop for gifts.  Many merchants on Solano Avenue 
accept Solano Avenue Association Gift Certificates and BHS gets 8%! 
Below is a partial list of participating merchants.**  For a complete

Peet's cards also make handy gifts.  They come in $20 and $50 
denominations and BHS makes 10%.  These are electronic cards that can 
be spent down one latte at a time......

We also have Five Star Video, Natural Grocery Company, and Berkeley 
Bowl scrip.  Five Star Video has two locations:  on University near 
Sacramento and also on Solano near Nielsen at the Albany border. 
Five Star gives BHS a whopping 20% and the coupons are in $20 
denominations.
The Natural Grocery Company has two locations: In El Cerrito on San 
Pablo at Stockton, and in Berkeley on Gilman near Peralta.  The 
Natural Grocery Company donates 6% and the coupons are in $10's.
Berkeley Bowl comes in $20 denominations and we earn 4%.

SO......if you shop at any of these stores consider using scrip and 
bring some money to BHS.  The Development Group runs the scrip 
program and it supports many activities and programs at the high 
school ...from LCD projectors and graphing calculators to guest dance 
artists, the afterschool tutoring program, and First Step 
Scholarships, to name just a few.
