YOUTHWORKS AFTER-SCHOOL EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM

The application period for 2008 fall-winter semester employment ends Oct 31st .

Qualified Youth (Berkeley residents only) are placed in a variety of 
jobs, including childcare, recreation & clerical positions within 
city departments and various community organizations.  The pay is 
$8.00/hr, and Youth may work up to 3 hours/day (15 hrs/week) for a 
period of 8 weeks.  The tentative start date is Dec 15th. 

To apply: Please come in in person to the YouthWorks office at 1947 
Center St, basement, to sign in and pick up an application sheet. 

If you have picked up an application already: Please turn in the 
completed application, by Oct. 31st, along with  Photo ID, Social 
Security Card, Proof of Residence, a typed or word-processed resume, 
and a progress report with a minimum 2.00 GPA.

Please note: Placement in the program is competitive: the submission 
of an completed application does not guarantee placement.  However, 
we do encourage all interested youth to apply: YouthWorks staff and 
partners will give employability coaching and guidance on an ongoing 
basis.
