It's that time of year again - time for us to show all of our 
wonderful teachers just how much we appreciate all of their hard work 
and commitment on behalf of our children.  As we all know, no matter 
what else goes on at our school, the most important factor impacting 
our kids' experience at Berkeley High is the quality of the teachers 
that stand before them every day.  In bringing their experience, 
knowledge and passion to work with them throughout the year, our 
teachers regularly work beyond their normal workday to help develop 
and implement programs, meet individually with students who need 
extra help and very often purchase supplies and educational materials 
with their own money.  In short, they're the bottom line when it 
comes to the educational experience of our children and we are very 
much indebted to them.


This year's PTSA Teacher Appreciation Luncheon will be held on 
Thursday, June 5th in the Community Theater Foyer.  Please contact 
luncheon coordinator, Naomi Janowitz at 
<mailto:nhjanowitz at ucdavis.edu>nhjanowitz at ucdavis.edu to offer help 
with supplying food, setting up, cleaning up or in some other way. 
 Our teachers do a phenomenal job each year and this is a very fun 
and social way to show them our support and appreciation.  But we 
can't do this without a lot of participation.
