Update on California Budget Crisis actions/activities:

!. Letter writing to elected officials is happening across the state, and
it is having a significant impact.
The California PTA strongly encourages everyone to write all of their
elected officials every week. Just a simple message will give strength to
those who are already committed to revenue enhancement, and pressure those
who are not. Both websites below have sample letters, but one line on the
page every week is sufficient.

2. Assemblymember Loni Hancock asked me to share this website created by
the Assembly Democrats. It is full of information and ideas, and I
recommend adding this to your favorites, as I suspect that these folks
will be giving us pretty timely updates on the budget situation.

4. State PTA Rally in Sacrament in response to the Governor's Budget April
24th. Contact your school's PTA right away to reserve a seat on a bus from
