A ninth grade teacher, Ms. Kalpna Mistry, has offered to take 9th
grade students to the 8th Annual Latino Education Summit at California
State University in Hayward on Saturday, February 2nd.
The Summit will take place Saturday, and we are looking for drivers to
transport students to this event. The Summit starts at 8:30 a.m. and
runs until 2:30 p.m. Drivers who are interested and available will
meet in the staff parking lot across from the BHS cafeteria to meet at
7:45 a.m.
Ms. Mistry will have typed directions for all drivers. She has stated
that field trip drivers do not have to chaperone during the program
but could instead leave and return by around 2:15 to take students
back to BHS. The Summit does encourage "anyone interested in
improving opportunities for youth and families" to attend. The event,
lunch and parking are free. If you are not able to do the return
drive, the students could take BART back to BHS.
