The following information about a Parenting Conference and workshops 
was sent our way by the Acalanes School District and may be of 
interest to you.

Dear Parents,
I am excited to announce that the Acalanes Union High School District 
parenting conference has been expanded this year to include both high 
school and middle school parents.  Our 9th annual event renamed, 
Living With your Teenager: A Conference for Parents of Middle and 
High School Students, will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008, at the 
Del Valle Campus in Walnut Creek.  Rick Phillips a nationally 
recognized speaker, educator, and trainer for youth and adults will 
be the featured speaker.  He will spend two and one-half hours with 
conference participants talking about "Empowering Teens to Make 
Healthy Decisions" and facilitating a teen panel. After lunch, 
parents may choose to attend two afternoon workshops of their choice.
