The BHS Development Group met last night and a number of grants were
funded.  Please think of us as you make your end of year giving
decisions, and remember that it is easy to donate via Paypal on our

1. Andrew Brodie--library improvement--replace and add furnishings for
library.

2. Alan Miller--Storytellers and Artists--guest artists will come for
a special day of presentations.

3. Amanda Green--purchase 2 video cameras for film and video courses.

4. Carton/Bye/Tebbe--hire graduate and upperclass UC Berkeley English
Lit students to assist with reading papers

5. Annie Johnston--BHS Student Court--along with funds from other
sources, provide funding for Student Court.

6. Eileen Jacobs--purchase Special Education Literacy Equipment.

7.  Walter Mitchell/Rory Bled--purchase equipment for the Caribbean
Cricket Club.

8.  Ilene Abrams--replenish College and Career Center discretionary
fund to allow for payment for test scores to be sent for college
applications for low income students.

The Development Group also voted to repeat the popular Classroom
Grants program, offering $200 to each teacher for whatever purpose
they choose; details to follow.
