Administration

*1. BART ticket sales for December will take place on December 18th 
and 19th in room D224 at lunch time only.  Ticket price is $16.00 for 
$32.00 value ticket.  Please bring exact amount. Cash only!  Please 
no checks!!

*2. DECEMBER 5th- Positive Minds Mentoring Sessions return to BHS! 
The sessions will be open to former PMG- BHS students as well as new 
students referred to the program by OCI teachers and counselors.  25 
slots open for December - June "08" program.  Please contact Mrs. 
Parker in Parent Resource Center for further information.

*3. VCW was a huge success with 23 students last week.   A special 
thank you from Ms. Lessard for all of those who helped participate in 
the cooking.  Come join us today at 3:30 pm.

4. Canned food drive has begun.  Please bring your canned food items 
to your second period classroom.  The class with the most canned 
foods will receive a pizza party in December.  The food is for the 
Holiday meal scheduled for December 15th.


Clubs

*1. Wouldn't you like to knit yourself a cozy scarf or hat now that 
cold weather's on the way?  The Berkeley High Knitting Club is 
starting up again this year.  Beginning and advanced knitters are all 
welcome.  See Ms. Goldstein-Erickson in the Library to help decide 
when the club will meet.

*2. Mountain Bike Club meeting in H206.  Please come if you have any 
interest in riding this year.  We will discuss the season and elect 
officers.  Any questions can be directed to Coach Prolo in H206.

*3. Do you have questions about Christianity?  Come to a questions 
and answers session this Friday, hosted by Youth for Christ.  You can 
sound your objections to Christianity and ask your tough questions. 
Friday lunch in room C311.  Snacks will be provided.


Sports

*1.  Come see the BHS Girls Soccer teams play their first league game 
on Tuesday, December 4th.  The Varsity game, against Pinole Valley 
High School is at 5:30 PM.  The JV game is at 4:00 PM.  The next 
league game is on Thursday, December 6th, against Encinal High 
School.  Varsity plays at 5:30 PM, JV at 4:00 PM.

*2. Congratulations to the following Berkeley Wrestlers for placing 
at the Hayward JV Tournament this past Saturday:
2nd Place: Freshman Stuart Loebl and Junior Christian Sheppard
3rd Place: Freshman Ben Cerami and Senior Rolando Aldana
4th Place: Freshman Carter Tong, Sophomore Jasper Werby and Junior Tim

Senior / Junior Section

1. Senior yearbook info- Get your senior page contract in room H102. 
Pages are going fast and are limited.  You can not have a page 
without this contract.  Pages cost $60 - $180.  Deadline- December 
20th.


Events/ Performance

1. Auditions!  GREASE is the word and the Spring musical!  Auditions 
open to all, especially Freshman.  Sign up now in the A bldg- A203.

*2. It may be the holiday season, but remember to save up for your 
Winterball tickets.  This event will take place on February 9th at 
the Historic Dunsmuir House.  Don't  miss out on this "Red Carpet 
Affair."  Early bird ticket sales will begin on December 11th.

*3. The 7th Annual Historian Black Colleges and University tour will 
be held April 1- April 8, 2008 (Tour A).  If any student is 
interested in the tour, please see Mrs. Parker in room D224.
