GIVE SOMETHING BACK - BECOME A MAS TUTOR (For BHS Students and Others)
Think you might enjoy tutoring fourth and fifth graders? Consider
becoming a Mentoring for Academic Success tutor. It will give you
great experience and allow you to contribute something special to a
child's life and education. Commit to working 2-4 days a week,
3:30-5:00 at Thousand Oaks Elementary School. Can't commit that much
time? Then volunteer to be on call 2-4 days a week to fill in for
tutors who can't make it to work that day. Speak Spanish? Your
skills are in great demand. Practice your Spanish and help a kid at
the same time!!! Become a MAS tutor.
We have paid, volunteer, and intern opportunities for tutors. BHS
seniors, after a semester of volunteer work would qualify to apply
for a paid position. For juniors and lower, it would be volunteer.
