With regret we announce the death of Herb Singer.  At 85 years of age,
he was Berkeley High's oldest regular volunteer.  A former school
psychologist with the Berkeley Unified School District and a long
serving board member of In Dulci Jubilo, Herb was proud of many
things: his role in the 1968 desegregation of the Berkeley schools,
his friendship with Paul Robeson, his skill with wood working, and his
beloved grandchildren including three recent Berkeley High graduates,
Jonathan, David and Jeremy Singer-Vine.
