STUDENT DAILY BULLETIN
April 13, 2007

Administration

1. Hey Berkeley High School - April is STI Awareness Month, come get
tested at the Health Center.  The appointment will only take 20
minutes.  April 9th through the 20th in H105.  Open 8:30 - 4pm and
closed everyday during 4th period.

*2. Please pick up any checks on hold for Jr Prom.  We do not accept
checks and will not issue any tickets to students who left checks to
hold tickets.

*3. Are you a school leader?  Do you want to be a part of change at
BHS? Apply for student leadership in D148!

*4. Please bring all Pennies for Patients Coin Collection boxes to
D148 by Friday.  Thank you for collecting.

*5. Counselors will be in the Library 7th period everyday this week to
help you with your schedule for next year.  Friday, April 20th is the
last day to make changes, so please be sure to show up!

6. Dance Production 2008 auditions are coming up!  Class of '08 and
'09, come to the stage in the A building during lunch and after school
April 12-19 to learn the audition pieces.  The audition will be after
school on Thursdasy, April 19th.  No dance training necessary.

4. Get your Community Service and tutoring credits at Willard Jr High.
Come to Mathworks to work with 6th, 7th, and 8th graders on Mondays
and Thursdays from 3-4pm.  Contact Sophie Meryash.

5. Are you looking for a job? Trader Joes in El Cerrito is currently
looking for employees--must be at least 18 years old.  Call 524-1609
and ask for Micah.

6. Weekend work available - Make $10-$20 per hour marketing on
weekends for 2-6 hours.  No experience needed, reliable transportation
is preferred.  Call 707-480-2908.  Ask for Bryan.


Clubs
1. Chicano Latino graduates if your buying plague and sash, the
deadline for the money is Friday, April 13th, and don't forget.  Also,
there will be a meeting o Thursday during lunch on April 12th, so
please come to G111.


Sports

1.  Attention Boys Basketball Players:  There will be a BBQ for the
Boys Basketball Program on Saturday, April 14th at Cordoneces Park
from 1-4 pm.  Players are requested to bring an appetizer, salad or
dessert. A sign up sheet will be posted at the basketball office.

Senior / Junior Section

*1. Seniors - If you would like to discuss your options for next year
or need help understanding and comparing your financial aid packages,
please stop by to see Ilene Abrams or Mr. Saraceno any day at lunch or
after school.


Events/Performances

1. Save the date!  The Fourth Annual BHS Health and Wellness Fair will
be held on Thursday, April 19th.  This year's fair will be on the
football field from 1st through 4th period, and students must arrive
with their classes.  Come enjoy fun games and activities and get
important information on healthy eating and physical activity!  Blood
pressure testing, a MADD crashed car, nutritious food samples,
give-aways and prizes, a KMEL DJ and a dance off during lunch.

2. Come to the En Pointe Youth Dance Company's performance,
"Continuum," April 13th and 14th @ the Roda Theater (only 2 blocks
from BHS!) Co-directed by two Berkeley High Seniors.

3. Teen Showcase, April 14th at the JCC 1414 Walnut St.  7-10 pm, $7
at the door with student ID and $10 for adults.   For more info call
848-0237 ex 130.

SALES

1. Junior Prom tickets are on sale now!  $65.  Get yours today!  Jr.
Prom is April 21st.

2. Yearbooks are $80.  You need to order one now!
