[BHS etree] ADMIN: Incoming families, a summary of meetings

Dear 8th grade families,

Over the next two months a number of meetings are scheduled for
incoming 9th grade students (class of 2011) and their families.  One
meeting (Information Night, Feb. 27) is attended by ALL families
(students and parents); some meetings are attended only by BUSD
parents, others only by private school families.  In an effort to be
clear, we are listing the most up to date information on  all meetings
and who should attend what.  

 

1.  Incoming 9th Graders Information Night

ALL FAMILIES (public, private, parents/guardians, students) 

TUESDAY, February 27, 2007, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., 

Community Theater at Berkeley High School. 

 

 

2. Middle School Curriculum Nights

PUBLIC SCHOOL PARENT S/GUARDIANS (no students)

 

Tuesday, March 6, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at King Middle School

Wednesday, March 7, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Willard Middle School

Thursday, March 15, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Longfellow Middle School

 

Students do not attend these night meetings because they will meet wit
the Berkeley High School counselors during the school day shortly
after these evening meetings for parents.

 

 

3. Enroll your child in the Berkeley Unified School District for
2007-2008

PRIVATE SCHOOL PARENTS/guardians

Families may begin the enrollment process at the B.U.S.D. Admissions
office on March 19, 2007.  Please follow the instructions on the back
of this letter.  Public School children are automatically enrolled.  

 

Register at Berkeley High School.  Students who have completed
enrollment in the B.U.S.D. must then be registered at Berkeley High
School.  Registration at BHS starts March 21, 2007. Public school
children are automatically registered at Berkeley High.  

 

4. Program/Lottery and Course Selection 

PRIVATE SCHOOL FAMILIES (STUDENTS AND PARENTS)

Tuesday, March 27 (Student last names beginning A-L) or on 

Tuesday, April 18 (last names M-Z)
