What's Up With College? a reality check!
Thursday, January 11, 7:00 pm in the BHS Library / College and Career
Center

It's that time again . . . if college students are home for the
holiday it must be time for Academic Choice's Third Annual What's Up
With College? Night. This wonderful FUN event is held every year in
the first week of school, so that we can invite Berkeley High alumni
who are home for the holidays and eager to share their college
experiences with their alma mater.

Come hear the true story about going away to college. Recent Berkeley
High graduates will visit Berkeley High Thursday, January 11th to tell
personal stories about their college experiences. There will be an
informal discussion with students from a wide range of schools, large
and small, near and far. This event is perfect for high school seniors
who are trying to decide what kind of college they want to attend --
two year? four year? small? urban? large? rural? west coast? east
coast? -- and who would like to get an idea of what next year is going
to be like.

It's a MUST for high school juniors and sophomores who are beginning
to think about their college plans -- students only a few years older
than they are there to tell them what to expect and how to plan for
it.

While the students talk in the College/Career Center, we would like to
also invite the parents/guardians of recent grads to come to the
Library and share their first hand knowledge of sending their children
off to college.

Mark your calendar for January 11, the first week after winter break.
This should be alively and informative evening. The event is open to
all Berkeley High students, parents, and guardians and is sponsored by
Academic Choice.

college discussion groups, please contact Janet Delaney,
