Administration

*1. No school Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Please
enjoy your holiday.

*2. JOBS: Looking for experienced student with good computer skills, filing
and organization 2-6 hours a week with Flexible hours $8-$10 per hour.

*3. JOBS: Part-time Circuit coach position- 8-10 hours/week at $8 an hour
plus commission, free membership and fun environment.  Must be energetic,

Clubs

*1.  Earphone English today at lunch in C116.  Need some entertainment over
the holidays?  Come borrow an audiobook.

*2. Come learn Ethiopian, Eritrean culture, language and help fedoras for
trips.  We will be meeting in room C309 at lunch on Wednesday.  For info
talk to Yonas or Rahel.  Snacks will be served.

3. Come to Condom Club and learn the facts about HIV, STD's, and how to be
safe.  Wednesday, November 29th during lunch in room H114.  You must
attend the entire time to get a condom club sticker on your student ID.
Don't forget to bring your lunch and ID snacks will be served.


Sports

*1. All football players please meet today in G211 (Matt Bissell's room) at
lunch.  All football players need to be present.

*2. Congratulations for being selected to the Blossom Valley Athletic
League All League team:  Eden Maloney- First Team.  Kyle McBard- Second
Team.


Senior / Junior Section

1. Full Scholarships are available for a high school exchange
program in Germany.  No previous German language is required.
Partial scholarships are also available for 16 other countries.
Students can choose from summer, semester and academic year programs.

deadline: December 16th.

2. Are you a senior African-American male who is interested in becoming a
teacher?  You may be able to go to college for FREE!  This program is a
collaboration between Clemon University and three black colleges (benedict
College, Clafin University and Morris College) to train, certify and
secure employment for African American males in South Carolina.  If you

3. The center for Clinical Immunology at Stanford University Summer Intern
Program.  If you are a current junior or senior who will have completed a
biology class by the end of this school year and are interested in biology
research, apply for this 8 week summer program consisting of lab research,
lecture and some clinical exposure.  The program includes a $1,500 stipend
to each attendee.  Housing is not provided.  Applications are available at

Events/ Performance

*1. The Berkeley High School Ensemble Fall Concert is December 1 at 7:30
pm.  Come hear what our award winning ensemble and combos have going on
this year.  There will be delicious food for sale before the concert and
at intermission so bring your appetites.  This is all happening at the
Florence Schwimley Little Theater, on the Berkeley High School campus.
Tickets are available only at the door, Box Office opens at 7:00.  $10
general admission, $3 nonBHS students and FREE for Berkeley High School

*2. The Berkeley Rep Teen Council is now accepting submissions for their
fifth annual Target @Teen One Acts Festival.  For the Festival, two
original one act plays will be written, produced, directed and performed
by Bay Area Teens.  The final due date is January 1, 2007.  Also, for
those wishing to get comments on apiece they are working on or for those
wanting to start something new, the Berkeley Rep Teen Council will be
holding a free playwriting workshop on Wednesday, November 29 at 4:30 pm
on Addison at the Berkeley Rep School of Theatre.  All teen writers are
welcome and encouraged to come, whether or not they have experience in
playwriting.

*3. While you are out shopping this week, pick up some extra canned goods
and bring them to your second period class.  The canned food drive is
still going on. Every day counts!  The class with the most cans will get a
pizza party so bring in your cans.  The cans will be used in BHS Annual
Holiday Meal on December 9th.


SALES

1. Prices are $75.00 for yearbooks until November 30th, (Thanksgiving
Holiday) and then will go up to $80.00. Please purchase your yearbooks in
H102 each day. Financial Assistance is also available to those who qualify
see Mr. Knight during 7th in H102 to apply.
