Star Choreographer Shane Sparks Visits BHS
Shane Sparks is "the" hip-hop choreographer to the stars, and appears on
the hit TV show, "So You Think You Can Dance."
Last Friday, he taught Janelle Wang of ABC 7's "View from the Bay" and a
group of Berkeley High School students some hip-hop moves.
Dance teacher Linda Carr shared her beginning dance class, and they all
had an experience to remember.  According to Linda, "Shane's visit had a
real impact on the kids. I expect to see serious improvement in attendance
from a few students who needed this kind of encouragement. Shane told them
they could decide their own destination, and then achieve it."
