The California Scholarship Federation is a state-wide honor society
designed to promote and recognize the high standards of scholarship,
service, and citizenship of California high school students. Members
must maintain good grades and perform 3 hours of volunteer community
service per semester. Additionally, all members must pay a $1
membership fee and raise $15 per semeser. The $15 donation goes
towards scholarships for Berkeley High School college-bound seniors.
Students who are CSF members for a minimum of four semesters,
including one semester in their senior year, are eligible to obtain
Life (Sealbearer) Membership. Life Members are eligible for CSF
scholarships and they receive "sealbearer status" on their
transcripts and diplomas.
To join CSF, students must fill out an application and submit a copy
of their report card from last semester. Applications will be
available in the College/Career Center (D221) within the next week.
Watch the e-tree and Student Daily Bulletin for more information.
Three hours of community service and $15 of fundraising are due by
Wednesday, January 24. Students must reapply each semester.
Community service logs are available now in D221.
If you have further questions, please contact CSF President Natalie
Gaber at nataliegaber at comcast.net or visit the CSF website at
