In June the Berkeley High School Development Group published True
Admissions, College Essays by Berkeley High Students.  It is a
remarkable and inspiring collection both for students who are
contemplating writing their own college essays and for those who are
interested in a portrait of a culturally rich and remarkable urban
high school.  

THE BOOK IS NOW ON SALE at Cody's on 4th Street for $12. It will be
on sale at BHS during registration week August 23 in the Jacket Gym.
It will also be on sale at the Senior College Night September 13 and
at an event sponsored by the Jewish Community Center September 12
which will feature essay "readers" and "writers."  At Berkeley HIgh
events the cost of the book is $10. 

Proceeds from the book will go to the BHSDG to support the school's
