SAT WORD OF THE DAY: PURLOIN - to steal. The thief purloined my
favorite jewelry, including earrings that had been given me by my
grandmother.

*THANK YOU to Rao Kammula, Rochelle Blumenfeld, Scott Wren, Nancy
Kersey, Cathy Brown, Wendy Diamond, Nancy Shapiro, Mohsen Mahbubian,
Dianne Ruyffelaere, Linda Griffin, Nancy Philippine, Kathryn Capps,
Linda Wong Purdy, Nancy Levin, Pam Fadem, Marcy Brown, Carrie Blake,
Paula Hollowell, and Renee Cohen and everyone else who donated food
and drinks for the Senior Awards Ceremony. It was a wonderful
evening and everyone (especially the students) loved having
refreshments after the ceremony. It was a wonderful atmosphere for
all of us to socialize.

SENIORS
*LOOKING FOR A FULL-TIME JOB? Veriflo is hiring production workers
in manufacturing operations in Pt. Richmond. No experience
necessary. Starting salary is $10.18 per hour plus union benefits.
For more information and to obtain an application, e-mail
vfomail at parker.com. Specify the job title "Production Worker" in the
subject line.

Please remember to let the teachers who wrote your recommendations
know what school you will be attending in the fall.

CSF SEALBEARERS - The cords and tassels for graduation are here.
Pick yours up from Ms. Harris in the College/Career Center.

If you are getting below a C in any of your classes and are planning
to attend a four year college in the fall, you MUST contact the
college to discuss this. All colleges will receive a copy of your
final transcript. By contacting the college and discussing your
options with them, you may be able to prevent your admission from
being rescinded. Please see me if you would like to discuss your
grades or what to say to the college.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Berkeley Chamber of Commerce Scholarship - Scholarships awarded on
the basis of scholastic achievement, financial need, citizenship,
leadership, service and employment. Parent must be a member of the
Berkeley Chamber of Commerce. $1,000. Deadline: June 15.

FOR JUNIORS
If you are considering applying to private school and haven't yet
asked teachers if they would be willing to write you a recommendation
in the fall, please do so before you leave school for the summer.

Don't forget to save your graded papers after school is over. Some
private colleges ask for them as part of the application process.

The UC pamphlet, Introducing the University, has arrived. Pick yours
up in the College Center to get information on each UC campus,
including admissions, majors, financial aid and important contact
information.

FOR ALL STUDENTS

throughout the country, will be holding their annual panel discussion
