STUDENT DAILY BULLETIN
June 1, 2006


Administration

1.	Friday, June 2nd, is the last day for students to turn in a final 
transcript request form to Ms. Mellion in D173.

2.	SAVE THE DATE:  BHS Coordinated School Health Program will have its 
last meeting of the school year on Wednesday, June 14th at 3:30 pm in 
Conference Room B.  Light refreshments served.  See you there!

3.	Health Fact of The Week: BHS Senior Prom is Saturday, June 3rd in at 
the Nikko Hotel in San Francisco.  How will you get home safely?  Make 
plans ahead of time:  take the BART system;  get a designated driver;  
plan to be safe and sober.  Brought to you by the BHS Youth Advisory 
Board.

4.	JOBS: Stop by the admin office and pick up the information.

Clubs
1.	Last APIC meeting of the year!  Come welcome the new co-chairs and 
team leaders at lunch in G302.
2.	

Sports
1.	Athletes from all seasons who owe uniforms or equipment appear on an 
Athletic Debt list posted on the Athletic Office Door.

2.	Anyone interested in playing on the Women’s Golf team next year 
should come to a meeting on Thursday, June 1, after school at 3:30 pm 
in H208.  The meeting will be short on, but you will get important 
paperwork needed for participation.

3.	All students interested in running Cross Country next fall should 
come to an informational meeting on Thursday, June 1,  at lunch in 
G105.


Senior / Junior Section

1.	College Visits:


2.	Senior Prom tickets will be distributed at lunch and after school.  
Please have your ID, receipt, book clearance receipts and guest 
contracts. Remember: Guests wearing TENNIS SHOES will not be admitted.  
Senior Prom is a formal event

3.	CSF Sealbearers:   The cords and tassels for graduation are here.  
See  Ms. Harris in the College|Career Center.


4.	Important Prom information:  Prom is Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Hotel 
Nikko in San Francisco.  222 Mason St.  The doors will open ay 7:30 pm 
and there will be no admittance after 10:30 pm.  Each guest must have a 
ticket and ID to enter.  All guest contracts and ID’s must be on file 
by May 31st.  No jeans or tennis shoes are allowed.  Senior. Prom is a 
formal event.

5.	There are four free prom dresses available in D148.  Please see 
Ivery McKnight-Johnson.

6.	Juniors:  the UC pamphlet, Introducing the University, has arrived. 
Pick yours up in the College Center to get information on each UC 
campus, including admissions, majors, financial aid and important 
contact information.


Events/ Performance

1.	SENIORS:  There is a SENIOR TRIP to Santa Cruz on June 6.  Buy your 
tickets now!  Tickets are $25 and will be sold each day at lunch on the 
Community Theatre steps.

2.	Come to the BHS Film Festival this Thursday, June 1,  at 7:00 pm in 
the Little Theater.  The show will feature fiction, documentaries, 
music videos, animation and experimental works from students throughout 
Berkeley High.  Also check out the Get Live Crew and DJ Maya.  Come to 
C400 for more info.

SALES

1.	Yearbooks are on sale in H102 everyday at lunch and after school.  
They are $70 dollars.  Make checks payable to BHS yearbooks.

2.	Bart tickets for May are here.  Please pick up your tickets by June 
6, 2006.  New ticket orders for June should arrive today.

3.	COUPON BOOKS-Stop by Milvia Street exits and get your copy of “Guide 
to the Good Life in Berkeley”.  For just $10, you get hundreds of 
coupons that can save you hundreds of dollars – at places like Extreme 
Pizza, Crepes A Go Go , and Grub and Go, LaVal’s, Games of Berkeley and 
Iceland. All proceeds go to support Berkeley Schools! And many many
