Volunteers Needed for the College Fair Bus

Interested students should buy bus tickets -- only $2.00!! -- from
Ms. Harris in the College and Career Center.

The bus is filling up fast -- first come first serve! St. Mary's
College in association with the BHS Academic Choice program is
sponsoring the cost of a bus that will go directly from BHS to the
St. Mary's College Fair in Moraga. The bus will pick up students in
front of the old gym at 12:30 pm and return to Berkeley High around
4:30 pm, which will allow students two hours to visit the college
booths, attend workshops, and enjoy St. Mary's College beautiful
campus. Colleges from all  over the United States and from as far
away as Canada, Australia, and Scotland are all gathered in one place
for one day!

Parent Chaperones are needed for next Saturday, April 29th, from
12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

We need at least three parent chaperones for the bus. Please
volunteer your Saturday afternoon to support  the efforts of our
college admissions counselor, Ms. Abrams, to create a college going
culture at Berkeley  High. This is a great way to encourage students
to imagine their future, motivating them to strive and to excel  in
school. It's never too early to encourage your students to visit a
college -- St. Mary's is beautiful -- and to  start thinking about
their direction in life.
