A bus from Berkeley High to the St. Mary's College Fair is available
on SATURDAY, APRIL 29th. This is the largest fair of the year, with
over 150 colleges represented. It is a great opportunity to learn
about new schools, get more information on ones you are already
interested in, and speak with a representative who may read your
application. Students can also attend workshops on admissions,
financial aid, athletic recruiting, historically black colleges and
universities, and more. Some workshops will also be held given in
Spanish.

The bus leaves at 12:30 in front of the old gym on Milvia Street and
returns by 4:30. Purchase $2 tickets in advance from Ms. Harris in
the College/Career Center. (contact: Ilene Abrams, BHS College
Advisor - 644-6804)

***IMPORTANT:
Parent Chaperones are needed for next Saturday, April 29th, from
12:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

St. Mary's College in association with the BHS Academic Choice
program is partially sponsoring the cost of buses that will go
directly from BHS to the College Fair in Moraga. At least three
parent chaperones are needed per bus. Please volunteer your Saturday
afternoon to support the efforts of our college admissions counselor,
Ms. Abrams, to create a college going culture at Berkeley High. This
is a great way to encourage students to imagine their future,
motivating them to strive and to excel in school. It's never too
early to encourage your students to visit a college and to start
thinking about their direction in life.

Please contact Jessica Seaton <jessica at seatonwilson.com or 549-1537>
if you can chaperone next Saturday afternoon.
