The District has announced that the first day of school in the Fall
will be August 30, 2006.
 
The new calendar is not yet posted on the BUSD website (periodically
check: http://www.berkeley.k12.ca.us/index.html), so here are some
other relevant dates:
 
8/30:   First day of school
9/4:    Labor Day
9/28:   BHS Back to School Night
10/9:   Staff Development Day (all schools)
11/3:   Staff Dev. Day for secondary schools (middle/high schools)
11/10:  Veteran's Day
11/23-24:  Thanksgiving
12/22 - 1/5/07:  Winter break
1/15:   MLK holiday
1/29:   BHS Semester break
2/16 & 2/19:  Lincoln's/President's Day
2/22:   BHS Open House
4/2-6:  Spring break
4/23:   State testing week begins
5/18:   Malcolm X holiday
5/28:   Memorial Day
6/15:   Last Day of School
