STUDENT DAILY BULLETIN

Administration

1.	BSEP meeting today from 4:30-until in Conference Room B.  The agenda
will be to review the Proposals.  Finalize the budget.  Please all 
members
be in attendance and be on time.

2.	The BHS Site Council will meet Tuesday, March 28, 4:30-6:00 pm in
Conference Room B.  On the agenda are a report on first semester grades,
an update on Professional Development, Graduation plans, and a proposal
for a Site Council bylaw change.

3.	The dates for the Honors Algebra 2 and Honors Math Analysis tests are
April 3rd and April 5th from 3:30 -4:15 in  H306.  Please contact Mr.
Weitz via email at <mweitz at berkeley.k12.ca.us>  to sign up for the test.
Ask your current math teacher for more information.

4.	Alright! Alright! The MORP Dance is on its way!  March 31st is the 
end
of the marking period and what better way to celebrate your grades then 
by
coming to the MORP and getting your party on.  Tickets are only $5 and 
are
on sale Wednesday and Friday at lunch in the community theater box 
office.

5.	JOBS: Recreation Activity Leader- call the City of Berkeley Parks and
Recreation at 981-5150.  $13.76 per hour to start.  Deadline to apply:
April 21st.  Other aquatic positions are available as well.

6.	VOLUNTEER- Camp Galileo has opportunities for counselors in training
and summer interns at a camp for elementary school age students.  You 
can
help campers with art, science and outdoor activities or develop kids
enjoyment of science and engineering.

Senior / Junior Section

1.	College Visits:
Monday, March 27 at lunchtime- Global Works; A community service travel
and adventure program with language learning and homestay options
available.  A grass roots organization, Global Works was created in 1990
for teens ages 14-18 as a way to increase cross cultural understanding 
and
provide positive service –learning experiences, while still creating
opportunities for exciting adventure activities!  Their mission is to
positively affect the communities in which we stay, work and play.
Global works also offers college credits.  More info contact the college
career center.
Wednesday, March 29-  9:30 am   Information on the Building Trades.

2.	Admitted to San Diego State?  Attend the Explore SDSU day on 
Saturday,
April 8 from 8:00 am to 3:00pm. You will get information on financial 
aid,
housing, academics, student life and more.  To RSVP go to 
<www.sdsu.edu/srsr/explore>.

3.	Two new scholarships for African-American females.  The Olga Jane 
Lewis
Scholarship requires a 3.5 unweighted GPA.  The Ida Louise Jackson
Scholarship requires a 3.0 GPA.  Each one is for $1,000.

4.	For Seniors- Claude Clark Memorial scholarship Fund- This scholarship
is for African and African American seniors graduating from Bay Area 
High
Schools.  Three $3,000 scholarships will be awarded. Deadline: April 15.
Events/ Performance

1.	Attention Juniors!  Junior Prom ticket sales at lunch in the Allston
Way Box office.  Ticket sales are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of
every week at lunch.  Tickets will start at $60.00 each and will go up 
$5
each week with a maximum ticket price of $75.00 per ticket.  Remember!
Prom is April 29th.

SALES


1.	BART tickets for March are here.  Please pick up your tickets in room
D224 at lunchtime only.

2.	BART ticket orders will be taken March 30, and 31st at lunchtime in
  D224.  Price per ticket is $16.00

3.	Yearbooks are on sale in H102 everyday at lunch and after school.  
They
are $70 dollars.  Make checks payable to BHS yearbooks.
