Berkeley High School Mountain Bike Club Rides Strong at Race #1 of
Season!

On Sunday, March 5, the BHS MTB Club competed in Race #1 of the NorCal
High School Mountain Bike Series held in Monterey, California. Club
riders performed extremely well with seniors Russell Hilken and Nino
DeCaro placing 2nd and 6th, respectively, in the super-fast Boy's
Varsity category!

Rebecca Rodgers (Junior) placed 3rd in the Girl's JV and Traci Kroll
took 2nd in the Girl's Frosh/Soph Category. Overall, BHS placed 2nd
overall in highly competitive Division 1 category. The next race is
March 12 at Lake Folsom.
